Our Story
Evaura is more than a sea salt brand. It is the continuation of a story that began over eight decades ago, shaped by the sea, sustained by family hands, and preserved through generations.
Our roots trace back to 1940, when our family began producing sea salt through Almallahat (Sleiman Salinas)—the salt-producing company that laid the foundation for everything we do today. Long before modern branding or industrial shortcuts, salt was harvested patiently, guided by nature and human experience. That same philosophy continues to define our work.
Today, Evaura represents the modern expression of that legacy. While Almallahat (Sleiman Salinas) remains the producer, Evaura carries the story forward—bringing traditional Lebanese sea salt to contemporary kitchens and wellness rituals, without losing its soul.
We are proud to be among the last three families in Lebanon still actively practicing traditional, hand-harvested salt production. In a world that has moved toward speed and mass production, we chose a different path: to protect a craft that respects time, land, and nature. Every crystal of salt is shaped by the sun, the sea, and careful human hands—just as it has been for generations.
Our salt pans sit along a clean and carefully selected stretch of the Lebanese coast. Purity is not a claim we make lightly. Both the sea water and the harvested salt are regularly tested, ensuring safety, quality, and consistency. This commitment allows us to honor tradition while meeting modern standards.
The journey has not been easy. Over the years, we faced wars, economic crises, environmental challenges, and moments when continuing felt uncertain. Many abandoned the craft. We did not. We stayed, adapted, and fought to keep our salinas alive—because salt making is not just our livelihood, it is our identity.
Evaura was born from that resilience. It exists to preserve what matters: authenticity, craftsmanship, and respect for nature. Each product we offer carries the weight of history and the care of those who refused to let a legacy disappear.
